MELROSE HILL π«π· BAR ETOILE

Bar Etoile landed on Western Avenue and turned Melrose Hill into a zinc-counter bistro scene worthy of the Left Bank. The Caesar beef tartare (geometric beef cubes, croutons cut to match, Caesar dressing base) stands out in a city drowning in tartare, while ricotta dumplings swimming in fontina brodo deliver California's answer to April Bloomfield. Expect $100 per person for inventive French plates that prove LA's bistro game isn't playing catch-up anymore, it's writing new rules.
WEST HOLLYWOOD π SCARLETT

Scarlett opened last week at 8715 Beverly Boulevard and immediately claimed its spot in West Hollywood's late-night rotation with Italian-inspired small plates, crafted cocktails, and after-dark energy that builds as the night unfolds. The space splits between an intimate dining room, central bar, and lush patio with outdoor firepit, designed for lingering over candlelit dinners that seamlessly transition into late-night scenes with live performances.
MID-WILSHIRE π£ THE NIGHT WE MET

The Night We Met recently had its grand opening and completes a romantic restaurant empire with an Asian diasporic menu spanning chicken satay, whole deep-fried branzino, and kimchi fried rice. The owners Mindy + Vinny Kinne recruited Bangkok Mandarin Oriental sous chefs to build shareable plates in an opulent 100-seat dining room where live music on weekends transitions to late-night DJ sets until 2:00am Friday + Saturday.
